I am able to design for print and web as well as create mechanicals and web graphics. While I enjoy designing, I have done an extensive amount of production work, creating files for companies like Novartis, Pfizer, American Museum of Natural History, Swanson, Vlasic and others. I welcome this work, whether it be creating files or fixing files that others have started. I am comfortable designing from scratch, or working from an existing layout, whether it be a tight comp or something scribbled on a scrap of paper. I am proficient in QuarkXpress, Illustrator and Photoshop. I prefer to work on a Mac, but have used a PC as well. Just a few of the other software applications I'm familiar with: GoLive, ImageReady, Acrobat, Powerpoint, Word, CorelDraw, Typestyler and FreeHand. Out of necessity, I have also become well-versed in Mac troubleshooting and maintenance. I prefer to work out of my own studio, but am open to working on-site, depending on your location and your needs. I am currently using a Mac G4 with dual 500mhz processors, equipped with Zip drive, floppy/flashcard drive, Syquest EZ-135 drive, CD-RW drive, scanner, 600 DPI B&W laser printer, 1200 DPI color inkjet printer, digital camera and other Firewire, USB and SCSI peripherals.
